There is something about old things that makes you wonder where they have been.

These hand-engraved brass tarot cards are inspired by Mildred Payne’s Oracle deck, each one carefully set within a vintage brass frame. They have the feeling of something unearthed from an old cabinet—kept close, consulted in candlelight, and perhaps forgotten for a few years too long.

The brass will darken and age with time, gathering its own marks and patina along the way. A small relic for those drawn to things with a little history, a little mystery, and a story that may never be entirely told.

Card #13 THE BLACK CAT
“a ferocious black cat toys with its latest kill. Before long, he will move on and bury his deadly claws into new prey..”

Dark meaning:
“bad luck. An omen to be aware of. A fierce problem, not easily dismissed, fear and superstition.”

Light meaning:
“taking control over disempowering beliefs. Choosing to create one's own destiny instead of leaving it to chance.”

Card #26 THE WHITE CAT
“going against its killer instincts, a white cat befriends, a group of birds. The birds have learned to trust the cat and play around it without worry.”

Dark meaning:
“ignoring your intuition at your own peril. Being oblivious to obvious danger. Being lured into a trap.”

Light meaning:
“blind trust. Making an ally out of a former enemy. Cooperation despite past history or differences.”
