There is something about old things that makes you wonder where they have been.

These hand-engraved brass tarot cards are inspired by Mildred Payne’s Oracle deck, each one carefully set within a vintage brass frame. They have the feeling of something unearthed from an old cabinet—kept close, consulted in candlelight, and perhaps forgotten for a few years too long.

The brass will darken and age with time, gathering its own marks and patina along the way. A small relic for those drawn to things with a little history, a little mystery, and a story that may never be entirely told.

Card #6
“a malevolent demon laughs with the light as he wraps a pair of young maidens in inescapable bindings. The moon watches above, hinting that the binding merely exists in the mind of the girls.”

Dark meaning:
“thought control. Brainwashing. Propaganda. Limiting beliefs. Servitude. A prisoner or hostage feeling as if in a trance. Confusion”

Light meaning:
“the gift of persuasion. Convincing others to succumb to your beliefs, being a smooth talker in a tough situation.”
